    Interests

My research has focused on investigating the hippocampal cellular structure and cognitive function in mice under various neurodegenerative conditions. Within my postgraduate program at Bogomoletz Institute of Physiology (Ukraine), I've been involved in a project aimed to assess how dietary factors (fats, carbohydrates, and plant-derived prebiotics) modulate neuronal viability, glial activation, and structural synaptic plasticity in an animal model of atherosclerosis and neuroinflammation (ApoE-/- mice). Another study links with elucidating the delayed outcomes of antibiotic treatment during gestation for brain development in offspring. During my research at the University of Cambridge, I joined to study the neuroprotective potential of commonly-used anti-diabetic drugs in the RML scrapie model of neurodegeneration.
