    Interests

I am Cambridge NeuroWorks Blue Sky Research Fellow, focussing on developing methods to non-invasively measure biomarkers of dementia using wearable brain imaging hardware. Before becoming a Blue Sky Research Fellow, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge investigating how age-related hearing loss impacts the brain. Before that, I was a Research Fellow at University College London, developing new methods to measure brain activity in babies. I also have a PhD in Medical Imaging & Neuroimaging from University College London. In addition to research, I love science communication. In 2024, I delivered the Award Lecture in Digital Innovation at the British Science Festival. In 2023, I was awarded a Media Fellowship by the Association of British Science Writers and placed at the BBC Audio Science Unit. I also perform science comedy, and have performed at events including Green Man Festival and UK Science Comedy Festival. (Photo credit: Ian Bowkett)
